Hexagon Synergy Sabah Sdn Bhd (100% owned by Hexagon Synergy Malaysia Sdn Bhd) and SP Marine Services Sdn Bhd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sabah Port Sdn Bhd) signed a Shareholding Agreement, forming a strategic partnership.
The partnership will lead the development of a state-of-the-art Port Reception Facility (PRF) to strengthen maritime waste management in Sabah.
The PRF will be built on circular economy principles, emphasizing waste valorization, recycling, and reduced landfill use.
This collaboration supports international environmental standards and reflects a strong commitment to protecting Sabah’s marine environment.
With active support from government agencies and stakeholders, the initiative champions sustainable and responsible port operations in Sabah.
– Developed the engineering and process flow design for the PRF, ensuring it aligns with national and international regulations (IMO), and industry best practices.
– Fabrication of components and infrastructure for the PRF.
– Strong focus on onsite treatment and recovery of scheduled waste.
– Our efforts will also include recycling, repurposing and co-processing alternative fuels or raw materials from scheduled waste at its source.
– Developing treatment solutions for non recyclable scheduled waste.

– Successfully invented and supplied a homegrown technology ASDF (Advanced Sludge Dewatering Facility) for direct monetary saving to PPTSB.
– Awarded 5 contracts as appointed scheduled waste contractor.
– Manage scheduled waste generated in PIC premise including packaging and strapping, collection and loading/transportation of scheduled waste.
– Organize in-house training with the Petronas team for both PRPC UF and Prefchem to share knowledge on the legal requirements and SWM guidelines.
